Bear is an incredible dog with a sad past. After being tied up, left to die, abused, and neglected all he wants to do is love and be loved. Bear has separation anxiety and has to be crated when left home alone. When you open his crate he wants to give kisses and he wants a cheek rub. He is fully crate and house trained. Bear knows not to get on furniture and knows most of the basic commands. Although he weighs 94lbs be is a lap dog and is very content snuggling up with his owner. He loves to play tug-a-war, loves peanut butter filled kongs, and ear rubs. Bear gets along with larger dogs and likes to play tag with them. He doesn't do as well with small dogs and can not live with cats.

Bear needs a home with someone willing to buy him a nightlight as he doesn't care for the dark much. He also needs a furever home with someone that has time to spend with him to show him he isn't going to be left and doesn't need to stress about it.

Right by your side is where he wants to be. He is very protective and incredibly loving (lets not forget incredibly strong!). If you have ANY questions please do not hesitate to email us!

Heres a little tip and Bear will love you for it. He LOVES TO BE BRUSHED. His foster dad brushes him twice a day.

Bear will have to be adopted by someone located near Murfreesboro, TN. Bear has anxiety when meeting new people and his foster Dad will help the new adopter get acquainted with him.  The adopter would need to live close enough to go visit Bear, and work with his foster dad until Bear is comfortable.  Bear is a wonderful dog who has had a very hard life; yet, despite his abusive past, he craves love and attention.  His foster Dad took the time and patience to work with him and he now feels safe and knows he is loved. Bear’s adopter must be a very special person, and must allow Bear the patience to trust that a new person will not hurt him.  If you live close enough to Murfreesboro, and are willing to put in the effort necessary, then please contact us or fill out an adoption application.
