Our special boy Sampson needs a special foster family, located in the Houston, TX area . If you are not in the Houston area then please do not apply to foster Sampson. He will not be transported outside of the Houston area at this time.

Sampson is a good boy that hasn’t had much structure in his life. He needs someone who has experience with large breed dogs (Rottweiler preferred) and is willing to provide the parenting and be the role model he needs. Parenting is exactly what Sampson needs in his young life. That does not mean that he will need it in every situation but in the beginning it will be necessary and required.

Sampson’s foster family needs to be able to provide structure without having a neurotic need to indulge his puppyish behavior. His ideal foster family will be one who would love to learn more about training and dog language. It’s fine if you have a dog but we would want to be able to do that introduction with both the people and with the other dog. Sampson’s foster family will need to be willing to go to sessions at his training facility as well as let them come to you for a few transfer sessions to be sure he is in the right place. Sampson would do best in a house without young children or cats.

If this sounds like you and you are interested and willing to provide the structure that Sampson needs to become the best dog he can be, please let us know ASAP. If you are an approved foster or adopter, in the Houston area , please email us at rottie.info.ssrr@gmail.com. If you are in the Houston area but are NOT an already approved foster or adopter, please fill out our Foster Application in order to be considered for Sampson.
