Gracie is a female Rottweiler/German Shepherd (we believe). Her mom gave birth to her and her siblings on April 23rd on a cold floor in a loud, dreary shelter. As soon as we heard about them we reached out to some wonderful local volunteers that quickly got mom and all of her puppies out of there and into a nice warm home until they could be transported to their foster home.

Just look at what a beautiful girl Gracie is! Like any puppy she likes to chew so you need to keep an eye on her. She also likes to run around and play and absolutely loves to run and jump in the kiddie pool. Gracie LOVES the water! Gracie is a very smart little girl and is doing well with her house training as long as you keep her on a schedule or you hear her whining at the door when she needs to go. If you make her whine too long she’ll go right there though, after all her bladder is very tiny. She’s learned her name and will even answer to it sometimes, unless she has something better she’s doing.

Gracie doesn’t live with children, but since she’s a puppy and she loves to play, her foster family thinks she'll do great with kids. However, please do not apply to adopt her (or any dog) if your kids have not been taught to respect animals.  Gracie is a baby and can be hurt by being picked up by my neck, or dropped, etc.

SSRR is extremely protective of all of our rescues, but in particular we strive to be sure that puppies are raised properly to avoid any future behavior problems. Gracie will be adopted to a home where he will get plenty of love and attention, as well as exercise and training—everything that is needed for her to develop into a socialized and well-behaved adult.

The adoption donation fee for puppies is $300 and is a tax-deductible donation to SSRR, which is a 501c3. The puppies are up to date on vaccines and worming. She is too young to be spayed and will have to be spayed when age-appropriate (approx. 6 months). SSRR will provide a flat fee reimbursement to be applied to the cost of the neuter.  Any excess cost (some vet fees are much higher than others) can be allocated as a tax deductible donation.
