Hi, my name is Vixen and I am a three year old , 53 pound rescued bundle of sweetness!!  I don't remember much about my past, I wondered for probably several weeks, maybe months, scrounging around for food and sleeping in the outdoors.  I was brought in to a local shelter in Norfolk, VA where I met the wonderful people here at Southern States Rescued Rottweilers. I have only been in the rescue for a short time, but I am loving my new life as a rescued baby girl!!

I live with my temporary foster mom and dad. I love them both and show them daily with lots of kisses and cuddles. I have a human teenage brother, I get along great with him, too.  He is fun to play with and I hang out with him while he does homework.  I also gained a Rottie fur brother, too.  He's an older, cranky fellow with a sweet disposition .   I learned all about how to get along with him easily and we get along well.

The food is much better here in my new home. It is plentiful and comes on a regular schedule. I am quite pleased with this and have learedt how to slow down when I eat, even though I am still quite starving from my adventures when I was lost. I am friendly with my food and do not mind when people are near my bowl. However, I've never had shared my bowl with other dogs that my mom knows of, she feeds me in my crate so I can enjoy my dinner. I love the treats. I sit and take them very gently!

I am crate trained although I've earned a lot of privileges in my new home already.  I sleep in my crate at night or when my mom has to go out. I get to hang out "free roam " of the house during the day. My foster mom makes sure I go outside on a regular basis which has helped me learn where I should use the bathroom.  She says I am a super quick learner!!

I walk well on a leash and like to stay close to my human .
I'm not fond of cats and my mom hasn't seen me around any real young children yet.

I'm hoping to find a forever home to call my own.   I would love a family with one, two , three or more humans.. older kids are awesome.  I would prefer a male fur brother who is my size or larger so they can teach me manners. My foster mom says I adapt quickly and am the perfect package. Please consider submitting an adoption application to be my new family!

Love,
Vixen
