Kevia came into SSRR early to mid July 2019, as a stray with a companion German Shepard. Sadly the owners of both dogs were located and declined to retrieve them from the animal shelter in Newport News, VA. Kevia had several health concerns, entropion of the left lower eyelid and a torn ACL/cruciate ligament in her right knee. Even with her injuries, she was the biggest lovey and so happy to be out of the shelter. Kevia was transported by several amazing volunteers to FL. She has undergone two medical procedures, first to fix the entropion, and she is currently recovering from knee surgery.

Kevia’s best friend is Wyatt (almost 3 years old) who likes to share his trucks and vegetables with her. Kevia tolerates his rowdy personality and often looks for him when he is at school.

The way to Kevia’s heart is through a nice deli cheese. She does appear to be a man’s dog. Kevia knows “sit”, “stay”, “here/come”, and “down”. She likes to stay close to whoever is walking her if we go outside .

Kevia is being fostered in Mary Esther, FL. She is a Long-Term foster and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION at this time.
