Bama truly is a sweet boy who just wants love and affection; he will follow you wherever you go in the house. He doesn't jump up on you, but he does a happy little hop when you get home, and if you lean down and are not careful, he will head-butt you. He is also a leaner and will lean into you while you're petting him. If he's not happy, he will vocally let you know with a bark. He loves his Jolly Ball so much that it's the only toy that he will play with.

Bama is working on his manners. He's a little bit protective over his food and toys when it comes to other dogs; he will definitely warn them if they are getting too close with a bark and a slight growl. Still, he is okay if his foster mom takes his toy from him. He has not snapped at the other dogs or her. He also doesn't want to eat his food unless his foster mom is in the room with him; he will nibble here and there but won't finish his bowl. Bama is fed in a separate room from his furry foster siblings.

If left alone for more than a few hours, Bama has to be crated as he will chew on random things like dish towels or pillows, but he does stay out of the trash. He doesn't mind his crate at all; he'll sometimes just go lay in it, and in the morning, when told to "crate up," he gets right in.

Bama knows the sit, lay down, and come commands, and is currently learning the stay and leave it commands. He is very treat motivated and picks up on commands well.
