Gemma embraces every day with enthusiasm.  She is a very young and energetic (1 ½ year old) 70 pound girl.  Because of her energy, proper introduction with other dogs is important.  She is very friendly and gets along with other dogs and with people. She currently lives with four other dogs and loves, loves, loves to play so a dog who will play with her is a must.  She currently plays with our 2 year old English Cocker Spaniel and is respective of her size. However a dog closer in size to her is best.  Due to Gemma’s size, older children would be best.  Gemma is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. She enjoys being outdoors, likes going for walks and walks great on a leash.  She walks every morning and that really tempers her energy for the rest of the day.

Gemma rides well in the car.   She has had extensive training and is highly treat motivated. She takes treats very gently from your hand. She knows sit, down, come and wait.  She is house and crate trained and kept in her crate at bedtime and if left unattended for a long time.  It wouldn’t be good for Gemma to be left alone for 6-9 hours every day.
She is fed in her crate so she goes in willingly.  Other times a cookie will do.

Gemma would do well in a home with another active and playful dog for her to play with.   It is also a great way for her to expend some of her energy. Gemma is an all around good natured girl.   She has so much potential and a fun loving personality.  All she wants is a loving home and people/dogs to play with. She is very athletic and would do well in dog sports.
