Simone is a petite Rottie who has a lot of love to give and acts younger than her age. She’s playful, affectionate, and absolutely obsessed with tennis balls. If you’re sitting down, she’s likely trying to wedge herself next to you—preferably on the furniture, if allowed. If not sitting down she’s a classic Velcro dog who thrives on companionship and wants to be wherever her people are.

Simone is crate trained and house trained but would much rather be curled up beside you than alone. She knows ‘sit’ and is working on ‘down,’ ‘wait/stay,’ and ‘spin.’ She’s food motivated so training her is not difficult, although she does have some of that Rottie stubbornness. She walks well on a leash and enjoys walks, although she sometimes reacts to other dogs in a non-aggressive manner.

Simone is good with people and has done well with older children we’ve introduced her to. Due to her size and exuberance (she periodically jumps and would likely be prone to stealing food), she’ll do best in a home with older kids or adults. We haven’t tested her with small children. She’s likely best suited to a home with other dogs her own size and energy level and needs to continue socialization training to learn polite dog-to-dog manners.

She’ll chase squirrels and cats, so a home without small animals is recommended.
