Walter is available through NovaStar Animal Rescue in Dover, AR.

Walter is a very sweet boy. He has never had a negative reaction to people. He loves everyone. He has never been around children though. Walter loves to be with his people. Walter does walk on a leash. He is a little energetic in the morning, but usually mellows out after his walk. He is perfectly content to play with his toys or chew on his bone while you read a book or watch TV.

While in foster care, Walter made great strides in house and crate training. He never chewed on any furniture or such.

When Walter first came to Novastar he was almost starved to death. He had to stay at the vet for several days. Due to this, Walter has the mentality that he is starving. He is always hungry. He loves treats and snackies. Sometimes his teeth will get your finger, but never in an aggressive way.

Walter is good with large dogs with proper and patient introductions. A home with small dogs, cats, and other small animals is NOT recommended. He will give chase. He did get along with his foster sibling, but preferred to do his own thing than play with the others. He would prefer a home that is quieter, with not to much going on.
